VISITOR CENTERS & GROUP LOGISTICS

Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) feature four primary visitor centers that serve as essential resource hubs for tour operators. These locations provide crucial restrooms, maps, and dedicated motorcoach parking to ensure a smooth group experience.


Estes Park Visitor Center

Located at the intersection of US Highway 34 and US Highway 36, this is the primary transportation hub for the town. It features dedicated motorcoach parking spaces and serves as the main pick-up point for the free town shuttles and the RMNP Hiker Shuttle.

  1. Resources: Public restrooms, regional maps, expert trip-planning staff, and free Wi-Fi.

  2. Parking: Specific designated bus/RV stalls on-site.

Beaver Meadows Visitor Center (RMNP)

As the most famous visitor center within the park, Beaver Meadows is located near the southeast entrance (Hwy 36). Designed by the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, it is a National Historic Landmark.

  1. Resources: Ranger-led information, a 20-minute park film, bookstore, and accessible restrooms.

  2. Parking: Large parking lot with dedicated lanes for motorcoaches.


Fall River Visitor Center (RMNP)

Located on US Highway 34 near the Fall River Entrance, this center is ideal for groups entering the park from the north side of town.

  1. Resources: Life-sized wildlife exhibits, a discovery room for educational stops, a restaurant, and an extensive gift shop.

  2. Parking: Ample oversized vehicle and bus parking available.


Alpine Visitor Center (RMNP)

Sitting at 11,796 feet, this is the highest visitor center in the entire National Park System. It is located at the top of Trail Ridge Road and is a "must-stop" for spectacular tundra views.

  1. Resources: Tundra exhibits, a large snack bar/café, and a gift shop.

  2. Parking: Due to high demand and the high-altitude environment, dedicated bus parking is available but fills quickly during peak summer hours.
