Description:
The Butte Theater is a refurbished historic theater located above the City of Cripple Creek's Fire House. The Butte offers programming year-round, with our Community Season, featuring local actors, from January - May, and our Professional season, featuring professional talent from around the country, from June - December. The Butte is one of the last theaters in the country maintaining the tradition of Melodrama while also presenting contemporary plays and musicals.

Services & Amenities:
The Butte can accommodate 184 patrons per performance. Our seating is a mixture of cabaret tables and traditional auditorium seating. Our cabaret tables and first three rows of our auditorium seating are recommended for those with mobility restrictions. All other auditorium seats have steps that lead to them. We offer an ADA compliant elevator to bring patrons from street level to theater level.
We proudly offer groups of 12 or more a discounted rate.
We offer concessions in our lobby and a bar inside of the theater.
Patrons may park to the west of the building in a shared parking lot with the police department as well as in the plentiful street parking outside of the theater. There are two handicap spots on the street right outside the theater.
About Us:
The Butte Theater is a non-profit theater owned by The City of Cripple Creek and strives to bring high quality, year round programming to its patrons. Maintaining the American tradition of Melodrama, The Butte proudly presents a mix of classical and contemporary theater productions as well as special events such as concerts, comedians, children's theatre, and more!
